Centro Studi Italiani Opera Festival

Students wishing to enrol for an Opera Festival course (monthly programme) should take note of the dates of the various programmes, but above all, of the relative artistic directors. All the courses in the programme have three things in common; language, conversation and culture (refer to linguistic part). Each single programme differs in its musical content. For the 2006 season, see below. To obtain specific information regarding these (and also for enrolment) students should contact the respective artistic directors directly.

Sant'Angelo in Vado, 11 km. from Urbania, a delightful little town of Roman origin, conserves important monuments and works of art from the medieval and Renaissance periods. Some groups of students are accommodated here (in furnished apartments, with families or in hotels) and participate in the musical activities of the course, being involved in representations at the "Zuccari" Theatre or in very characteristic churches.

Urbino, at only 16 km. distance from Urbania, and one of the art and culture capitals of the Italian Renaissance, is declared by UNESCO as being a Patrimony of Humanity. Our students are not accommodated there but hold very important representations at the "Sanzio" Theatre.
